How did you get into cycling? I traded a snowboard for a mtn bike when I was 19 and I started doing mtn bike races that year. I raced MTB for a few years and when I moved to the bay I started doing road and cyclocross. Racing bikes has kept me out of a lot of trouble!

What's your greatest accomplishment in cycling? I had a string of 15 consecutive podium finishes that included 5 wins during our nor-cal cyclocross season last year. I've yet to do anything really notable on the road...

What do you do when you're not on the bike? Play records.

If you were a character in a movie, which character would that be? Steve Zissou in "The Life Aquatic". Actually, I sometimes feel like I'm on "Team Zissou" except we're driving around in Big Red instead of a boat.
